[Help] Does my dog need a flea collar?

Hello- newish dog owner here. I keep seeing commercials for flea and tick collars. Is this something that my dog will need for the summer? I live in the Southwestern US and I've never heard of a flea or tick problem here but I would rather be proactive if I need to.Any advice? via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2qYwcFw
