A few months ago I moved across town. My dog was not terribly enthused about the move, but he adapted, and was perfectly happy and even excited to take walks.Last Monday, on Memorial Day, a bunch of neighbors started setting off fireworks while we were on a walk. He is terrified of fireworks and thunder, and he immediately put his tail between his legs and dragged me home.Since then he has refused to go on walks. It has been 3 days and he still hides when I pick up his leash. I can drag him outside but he will try to turn around and pull me back home every few steps.I haven't gotten any real sleep in days because he will only walk a block or two and pee once or twice before he refuses to go any further, so I am waking up every few hours to take him out so he will squeeze out a few more drops of pee and maybe I can stave off a bladder infection.I've tried giving him treats when he does pee, but he won't even eat them, he just wants to drag me back home. I've tried forcing him to keep walking, but no matter how far I take him, he won't pee any more, he just keeps trying to turn around and go home. I have been rewarding him with peanut butter when we get home from a walk, but it doesn't seem to be helping at all.The worst part is that we have had thunderstorms the past couple days, and even on dry days people are still setting off fireworks, so I can't even get a streak of walks where I can take him out without him reassociating them with being scared again.I'm getting to my wits end, I don't have a clue what to do. via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2qEFtmB
