[Breed] Can Maltese dogs be colors other than white?

I was looking to get a hypoallergenic puppy to raise as an emotional support dog, and I came across this beautiful Maltese dog.http://ift.tt/2rCklkx person I contacted told me that this puppy is a pure-bred Maltese. Any research I've done online tells me that Maltese dogs are only white with possibly cream color on their ears.Is it possible for Maltese dogs to be this color if they are pure-bred?
