[Breeds] Going to adopt an Australian Cattle Dog puppy! Any advice from current owners?

Just put a deposit down to adopt an ACD puppy! He will be 4 months old when we get him. My girlfriend and I are active people, and the dog will spend the majority of his time outside of the APARTMENT with us. This is where my main concerns are, apartment life.The dog will no doubt receive plenty of daily exercise, but how do you think they would adjust to a 700 sqft apartment? Both of our parents have large backyards and live within 20 minutes where they will spend alot of time. Dog will never be alone for more than 4 hours during work week. He will be given plenty of attention, and we are not looking for a self-sufficient dog. We anticipate a dog that can be a challenge at times, but will be very rewarding with proper care.Also, my father's friend runs a historical society farm where he raises livestock.
