Introduction1) Will this be your first dog? If not, what experience do you have owning/training dogs?No, I have had a few dogs throughout my life. The last dog I had was when I was living with my sister in university where we got a cocker spaniel.2) Do you have a preference for rescuing a dog vs. going through a reputable breeder?Not particularly, likely go through a breeder3) Describe your ideal dog.Looking for an medium-large independent dog. I am looking for one with medium energy. I love German Shephards but I will be living in a 2 bedroom apartment so I won't be able to give them the space that they would need.4) What breeds or types of dogs are you interested in and why?Like I said above, something like a German Shephard. Just need something a little lower energy and lower maintenance.5) What sorts of things would you like to train your dog to do?The basics, off leash would be nice but not necessary.Care Commitments6) How long do you want to devote to training, playing with, or otherwise interacting with your dog each day?Probably a few hours a day. Will be in class 4 days a week for the most of the day. Willing to give it as much attention as needed. What sorts of exercise are you planning to give your dog regularly and does that include using a dog park?Same as above.
