Dog shedding tips? [help]

I've never had a dog before but a year ago I picked adopted a German Shepard/golden retriever puppy from the humane society. He's a pretty big shedder as I learned that goldens and German Shepards do that a lot but at the time I didn't think it'd be that bad lol. Anyways me and my family after a bit rough adjustment period have learned to live with his shedding and i have gotten some things to help with it like the furminator, shed x vitamins and a vacuum for pet hair specifically. Basically I'm just wondering if there is anything else that an owner of a heavy shedder should definitely have that would help? via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2qGSE6K
