Hi everyone. I'm looking for the best at home ear infection remedy for my pup.Last night around 3AM I was awoken by my 1 year old Golden Retriever who was scratching at his ear and letting our little whimpers. I looked in his ear and saw that it was very red and had a brown discharge inside.I called the vet this morning and they told me that Goldens are prone to having ear infections and told me just to clean the ear daily and keep an eye on it.I've read online that diluted Apple cider vinegar is the best go to, but I was wondering if anyone else had any remedies that helped their dogs.Also, can any one suggest when I should make the call and bring him to the vet if I don't see an improvement? The vet said don't bring him in until he's scratching at it really bad (which he stopped after I cleaned it with warm water this morning), but it's still very red.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
