Hi everyone, I adopted a 9 week old puppy last September and just recently took him on his first ever hike. We walked a paved path, but he was, of course, walking in the grass some of the time. However, after only a 2 hour walk on mostly paved pathway, the dog came home with four ticks! Three I pulled off him right when we got home (had not attached) and one I found yesterday (3 days later) attached, but dead. I'd like to get him a more solid tick prevention plan since I plan to take him hiking and camping more this summer and fall. Does anyone have recommendations for better medicine or even tick collars (or some combo)?We live in St. Louis, Missouri, so lots of ticks. He's also a GSD/Husky mix so he has thick fur and a double coat that can make it hard to find ticks. He's currently on Frontline Plus. via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2s29L6K
