[Help] - Camping in the Upper Peninsula with my dog - Bug prevention tips?

So I'm getting kinda frustrated doing research online. I read that Mosquitoes, Ticks, and Black Flies will be a concern. My dog is on Nexgard for flea + tick, and Interceptor Plus for heartworm. I'm not sure if I need something additional, like a flea + tick spray on top of her medication, to prevent my dog from getting bitten. We just went camping this weekend in Tennessee, and she hasn't had any ticks on her. But I'm sure it'll be worse in the UP, along with the concern for black flies.Every product I keep looking up has about 90% of the reviewers suggesting it, but there's always a handful of people saying X product killed or harmed their dog. That scares the shit out of me, but I find these reviews for nearly every product. Even Nexgard, Interceptor Plus, and one black fly spray I was looking into called Flicks.Any suggestions for products to use? Is any bug prevention 100% safe and 100% effective? The alternative, of course, can be much worse if my dog gets, say, lyme disease or similar. Is Advantix II a bug spray? Can I use that on top of Nexgard, since it apparently prevents black flies as well? via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2rT4sHi
