We rescued a Dobie mix puppy around October this year (she'll be 1 in July if the vet was right). She is a really sweet, happy go lucky girl but recently she's gotten very aggressive towards strangers on our walks. I had taken her for walks and to the park many times before and never had a problem. The first instance was during a hike (last month) when two other hikers came around a corner suddenly and she lost it. The hikers didn't mind but it really upset me. Later, on the way back, I let my SO walk her while I took our other dog and when another hiker stopped to chat with me (a good distance away from her) she lost it again. We've now moved into a new apartment and every time we see another tenant on a walk she loses it. Hair raised, growling, barking, lunging. My SO says she doesn't do it when he walks her (Just a lot of stopping and staring). We've walked together and that hasn't helped. I started walking both dogs separately and while it helped the others dog's behavior it hadn't helped her's. I try to calm her down, I've tried to approach them so she can check them out, and she'd let them pet and even lick their hands but continue growling/showing teeth/hair raised the entire time. I'm not particularly stressed when I see strangers, at least I wasn't the first few times she's lost it, and I praise her when she's friendly. I just don't know what I've done or am doing wrong and how to fix this. via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2sujYpU
