Hey all, When I came home from work the other night, my 12 year old Golden was collapsed on the floor and covered in his own pee. He couldn't move his legs and was very disoriented. I had come home 3 hrs prior for lunch and he was totally fine and acting like a puppy.I took him to the ER right away, they took some X-Rays and determined that it's most likely Spondylosis (arthritis of the spine). They want to do a cat scan and possibly surgery, but IMO it's really not an option at this point in his life. He's not in pain, but he still can't use his hind legs. I've been hoisting him around with a towel to go to the bathroom and eat/drink (Harness is on the way from Amazon). I should mention that he's currently on steroids and a mild pain killer.I'm looking for any advice on how to deal with this. A wheelchair is unfortunately not in our budget right now, so we'll be harnessing him for the time being. A friend recommended Pet Releaf hemp oil.. has anyone tried it out? Any other exercises or natural remedies you know of? I feel awful.. he's looking around like he wants to walk laps around the house (he just keeps going in circles for hours sometimes), but my back can only handle lifting him so much to walk around until the harness gets here. via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2qUsKM1
