Some background information about my dog. I've had him literally since he was born (we owned the mom and dad). He grew up with me (as I was 9 at the time, now 18) So we're pretty attached to each other. When ever I'm home and I leave him in another room he lays up against it until I come out. He's pretty good while I'm away during the day but at night is different . He hates being alone at night and whenever I've had sleep overs my dad normally will sleep on our couch to keep him company and keep him from whining. The longest I've been away was 3 weeks, he was okay during that time. That was also 5 years ago though.come September I'll be gone for 13 weeks in a completely different province. There's a small chance I might come home and visit in the middle but it's unlikely. I still live with my dad so he won't be in a new place and my dad will be able to take care of him as well as my sister. My dad also has a dog who is my dogs brother (from the same litter) they get along really well. So he won't be completely alone. I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice or tips on things I can do or my family can do to calm him down and not miss me as much I guess. He's half Siberian Husky half White Shepherd and he just turned 9 if that makes a difference. via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2qNVLh8
