[Help] My 10lb Yorkie killed my 9lb Chihuahua earlier today. Looking for some advice.

Hello,My wife came home today to find our first dog (10-yr old Chihuahua) passed away in the bathroom/hallway area where we leave them when we're out of the house. We have three other dogs; a 9-yr old female spayed Yorkie-Maltese mix, a 7-yr old male full-breed non-neutered Yorkie (the Alpha and the one who killed him) and one of their kids, a 6-yr old neutered male mix of them both. There has been a history of our Yorkie attacking our Chihuahua (over the past 3 years on and off), but either my wife and I are usually there to prevent it. They've lived together since the Yorkie was 8-weeks old, but it was only until a few years ago that this started occurring. We always leave the Yorkie in a kennel when we leave and the other three are left out together. Somehow he got out today and attacked the Chihuahua until he died. My wife is devastated as I am, and we are unsure of what to do with the Yorkie.Apart from what happened today, he is a very social and playful dog and has never attacked any other dog or person before. He loves dog parks and other people and we've never had any issues with him being aggressive toward any other person (adult or child) or animal. My wife and I are torn because we don't want this to happen to our other two dogs, but we don't want to lose two dogs in such a short time frame either (eluding to possibly euthanizing him).We were told by the vet that we could try and re-home him and make it known that he can't live with any other pets, but I don't want another family to feel the pain that we're feeling if they ever decided to get another pet and this happened again. We also don't want to take our own dog's life, but we don't know if we could feel the same way we did before today.Any support or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2sBcctP
