Hi,We have had Henry (A beagle mix, 35lbs) since we got married 8 years ago. We got him as a puppy from a shelter/foster care type owner. We took him to training campus and tried hard to train him well, although he was our first dog. Since we had kids, the reprioritization has gone into full effect and Henry's quality of life has changed admittedly - largely becuase my wife and I barely have enough time to brush our teeth, let alone make Henry #1 again.Henry has started:Barking at anything that moves. If the door opens, or someone steps near the door, he barks - and wakes the baby. Every time someone comes to our house, Henry turns it into an event.Food. Henry keeps stealing our older son's food and now any food that's within his reach. I get nervous when there's food near him that he'll snap.Other Dogs. If there is another dog within 20 feet while I walk him, he goes Bazerk.I walk him twice a day and pet him for a bit every day, but I don't know what to do about the above items. We have a 3 week old baby right now and my wife is at the end of her rope. We're thinking about getting a bark collar to get him under control a bit. Right now, he's on the couch behind me in my home office. He's almost silently barking under his breath , for about 30 minutes now - with every breath.I love this dog, but lately I feel like he's not my friend. He's become defiant, which scares me a bit. For instance, he'll steal a PB&J off of the coffee table and I'll tell him to go in the crate and he'll stand his ground and have a stand off with me.The idea of 're-homing' home has come up from my wife a few times and I honestly don't know what to do. via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2rWSufM
