Our almost 16 year old Border Collie - Bernese Mountain dog mix called Stina has had issues eating for quite some time now. She is only able to go for short walks of 2-3 miles now and everything is going quite slow. She has started to loose control of her bowl and will have accidents at night in her sleep which she is uncomfortable with and embarrassed when we we see her in the morning with it. Additionally she is not eating well anymore and last week did not eat for several days but it has picked up again and she is eating on and off. She is eating some non brand dry food at the moment in the evening. The dry food in the evening seems to help her to not have accidents at night as it takes around 14 hours to pass through. She is also offered wet food if she is not eating he other food and we bough time high end food to get her to eat more (not entirely sure which one). She also gets some sausages (like hotdogs) sometimes if nothing else works. The vet gave us the OK as she said at this point it is better for her to eat anything at all.Sorry for the long story but I am basically interested if people have some suggestions about what dry or wet food would help her eat more and/or be calorie dense to make it easier for her. Looking for something that smells strong, easy to eat, easy on the stomach, help with accidents and helps her keep the weight on. She lives in Germany so it would b best if the food available there. Thank you 😊TL;DR dog is old and not eating well, bowl accidents at night; looking for food she will eat and makes life easier for her. Food ideally available in Germany. (This really is all, why did I write such a long story in the first place 😆) via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2rJJYO7
