Hello, I've been trying to refrain from posting on this forum - however feel at a loss googling my puppies symptoms and so far away obviously my vet can't make a diagnosis over the phone.Our 4 month old Chihuahua is very happy, playful, normal pup - unfortunately when we rescued her we got misinformed on her vaccinations and she only had her first parvovirus vac. The vet didn't seem to phased on Kennel cough and said when we return to the city (living remote) to get it done then.Anyhow, over the last few weeks she has developed a persistent 'cough', however come to a conclusion from YouTube videos that it doesn't sound at all like kennel cough, more just a clearing of her throat from the upper respiratory. She isn't eating or drinking as regularly as she usually does HOWEVER we haven't exercised her for the last few days as we had been trying to limit the possibilities of what it could be. We've continued to check her temperature and it's perfect !As we are 4 weeks away from proper veterinary assessment, I need something to put me at ease before I go crazy - maybe this is a chihuahua / nervous / excited thing ? Could it be allergies ? She does chew grass and bark outside, and loves to dig ! She hasn't been socialised with any infected dogs.
