[Vent] Is there anyone else here who also works for a shelter (or even just likes shelters) and has experienced a lot of negativity from those who prefer breeders?

I do not look down on anyone for going to a breeder. Any way you slice it, having a dog is pretty cool. I know many wonderful people that are caring breeders. I myself prefer shelters. And quite a few times I have tried to defend shelters after people call them dirty and lazy because I work for a great and loving one myself, and have even tried to explain some inhumane breeding practices that some breeders use (again, SOME breeders, not all breeders) and the only responses I get are telling me I'm wrong or that I'm spewing BS. This subreddit used to be welcoming and respectful but lately all I get is this elitist attitude about going to a breeder vs going to a shelter. But, maybe it's just me.
