[Help] Do we need a dog walker?

Sought: some advice on whether we need a dog walker. Background:My husband and I adopted Biscuit two years ago - he's a 25-lb mix (probably some Spaniel, Australian Shepherd and more), neutered, and probably about seven years old. He's very low-key, well-mannered and loving (much credit due to previous owner though we have no idea on his history). We live in an 1000SF Los Angeles apartment - no yard, but Biscuit does have a doggy door onto a shaded balcony. My husband and I work M-F and are generally gone between 10am and 7pm, and he has the run of our apartment.Biscuit gets a 20-30 minute walk before we leave and immediately upon return, and has a pee pad he uses as needed during the day. No poo accidents at all. (The dude's a champ.)Biscuit shows no separation anxiety though he does seem a little mopey in the mornings before we leave; no destructive behavior at all. He gets super excited when we get home and after our walk, gets a bunch of one-on-one time which, for him, usually involves him falling asleep on the couch with us. In fact, even when we're home he likes to spend a fair amount of time napping. You could say the entire household are nap enthusiasts. :)He does seem to have a higher energy level (though still clearly loving to nap) when we are able to spend a lot of one-on-one time with him - for example, we went away with him a couple weekends ago and there was an extra sparkle in his eyes. However, as long as we both have to work out of the house (which is the case for the foreseeable future) and can't bring him to work, he's going to be spending the majority of weekdays alone. Though we've tried dozens of types of toys to stimulate him mentally, he's just not interested in toys he can't eat. He's moderately interested in treat-dispensing Kongs. So, the question - do we need a dogwalker? Will an extra midday walk do much to satisfy that need for attention? Will spending 30 minutes LESS time alone merit the cost? Or do we put that money towards our already-existing checking account earmarked for future vet bills? We also plan to move at some point into an apartment/duplex with a bit of a yard and getting him a doggie friend at some point, but that's not going to happen anytime terribly soon.(The silver lining: we do have a dog walker we like and trust that we've used when we've had to be away for a super-long day.)Sorry for the novel.
