Hi. Our 8months cockapoo is good with commands, performs tricks outdoors etc, decent at fetching although not obsessed, doesnt soil the house etc. We spend most of the time with him by our side as we both work at home. The problem is that he seems to have a hard time with other dogs or other humans (we bring him to dog parks often in NY or have ppl over often). He doesn't seem to know how to interact, seems very shy with dogs at the dog run (barks at them or runs away onto the other humans'laps in the park :) he is ok with short interactions on the leash though... he loves to just sniff the dogs but doesn't like to be touched or be smelled. He hangs out sometimes with other "uncle" dogs 7&8y calm mini Australian shepherds but even with them he doesnt know how to interact. They kind of ignore him or correct him when he either tries to mount the female non stop - he's neutered-, or try to lick the male's face). I can see he loves them though and wants to hang out. :)He is horrible with guests at home. Wants full attention and nips, bark at them etc doesnt like to be pet by them etc.We ´ve been giving him Kongs etc when ppl are over to keep him distracted and busy but that only lasts for a limited time. It's hard to constantly have guest involved in the training. Any tips or game for them to play with the pup when puppy doesnt like to be pet or cuddled. He gets super anxious when either my wife or i go into a store while the other waits outside w him. (He s ok at staying home by himself though, doesnt cry when we leave etc.)Help: how to teach him confidence with other dogs? With other humans? How to teach him to be more independent ?Thanks so much for your help! via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2rTStZI
