Hi Reddit! My SO's previous employer gave us a dog. He told us he adopted her from the humane society and he got her to be a "yard dog" for his tow/car lot. It was a horrible place for her and my BF and I fell in love with her and would go there on off hours spend time with her. Eventually he offered to give her to us; he really didn't take to her and neither did the other dogs at the yard. She's been living with us now since December and we adore her. The problem is we don't have any of her paperwork. We know she's spayed, she has the tattoo. He said she's had all her shots and that she's microchipped but we don't know that for sure or what info is on the microchip. We keep trying to arrange to get everything from him but it's always a run around. She's healthy and happy but I want to be able to take her to the vet and get her groomed and I feel like I can't without her records.
