[help] My dog tears his paws while walking

I have a 10yrs old 107lb lab mix with hip dysplasia and muscle wasting. He loves to go on his walks outside and gets excited every time I grab the leash. I try to take him out everyday so he can exercise to build his muscle back. (He is on medication for his joints and some to aid muscle growth) The only problem is that due to his issues his back paws kind of twist when he walks which cause them to bleed after a period of time-the walks are at most only 10 minutes long. For now I just walk him back and forth in the yard where the grass is soft and easy on his paws but He always wants to venture elsewhere. I have tried three types of boots so far (a silicone type, one by four paws and good-2-go all-weather boots) and they just fall off and I've done my best to make sure I secure them properly. His paw size is 3 inches in width. Are they any types that you have tried and have had success with that are not $50-60+ dollars? His food, medications and etc are quite expensive so I can't afford boots that much at the moment. via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2qQueMm
