[Breeds] Trying to find a good breed for a couples first dog together.

My wife and I are really wanting a dog to join our family. I'm use to larger breeds such as Boxers and Doberman but she is used to smaller breeds. So, we are trying to find a dog in the 20-40 pound range that would fit our situation. She works a 8-5 and is 10 minutes away from home while I work afternoons/nights mostly. We have plenty of room and a fenced in back yard as well. The struggle is apart from what we know of our past dogs, we haven't a clue of what would be good for us and the dog. We live in an area that is very hot and humid as well, so we don't want any breeds that would have difficulty living in that environment. We want the dog to "live" inside but not be struggling outside when it is outside. Does anybody have any observations or suggestions for us? Thanks in advance! via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2rOxB5D
