[Discussion] I heard that rescue dogs often have a 'honeymoon' period when they first come home, after which they may exhibit problematic behaviour. Is this true?

The premise was that rescue dogs go through a roughly 3-week honeymoon period where they act like the best dogs - very agreeable, gentle, calm, etc. Then, if they are not taught clear boundaries during that period, after 3 weeks they will begin to show problematic behaviour. Is this true? So if our dog comes home next week and acts like that best dog ever, we should expect that is just a phase? via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2rqNj4N
