Hello every one, this is going to be a very long post so I hope you're ready. I'm 17 years old and like everyone I wanted a dog so badly, I kept asking my parents to adopt a dog until one year ago when my dream came true in the form of a healthy golden retriever puppy named Mars. First months were great and annoying, long story short he kept pissing everywhere until he was trained, otherwise he was nice, cute and happy, I really fell in love with him. As time moved on he grew up and got big, really big and we started having difficulties while walking because he would pull a lot and since we're living in an appartment. he was just too big. My awesome parents waited for a whole year until they finaly couldn't support him, not because he was bad, but because he was too big and well we couldn't take him everywhere and a lot of our friends were scared of him. My dad recently told me that a really good friend was searching for a dog to guard her chicken and that she lived in town, after thinking about it for a long time, I really am convinced to re-home him, cause to be honest it's a win-win situation. If we do give him to her i'll still be able to visit him everyday since she lives not far from where i do, my dad wouldn't be tired because of him and that woman would have her dog, I know it'll be hard for me, but I'm certain that he'll be happy because he'll have a garden that he deserves and live a happy life. plus we are moving to a smaller appartement so it's convincing me even more.
