[Discussion] I recently rescued a dog but can't keep her. I feel awful.

A few weeks ago I saw an ad for a free dog on a Facebook group. The post was weeks old and no one at all had responded. The dog looked like she was in pretty desperate need so I went and got her. With some simple vet care and solid meals she's gained weight and is doing awesome. She's an amazing dog. She's good with people, kids, other dogs, I crate trained her in a couple days and she hasn't had one accident. I would love to keep her but my apartment is strictly no pets. I've tried to negotiate with my landlord but he's not interested at all. I contacted a breed rescue today and they have space to take her but I'm so upset about it. I would love to be able to volunteer with the rescue group but I don't want them to think I'm a terrible human for not doing more to try keep her. I know that if I didn't take her she probably would've been in a much sadder situation but I feel guilty anyway... via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2qU9lvm
