Today I accidentally spooked my dog with the vacuum and she peed herself- seemingly by accident, since the second she started she ran toward me like she was trying to get outside. I gently went "what happened, Luce?" and then gave her a "no peeing in the house" so she wouldn't think it was necessarily OK, but didn't outright scold her as if she had done it normally, especially since she already looked remorseful. This made me wonder what the protocol is for that? I'm not sure if you're supposed to scold them as normal, do what I did, or do nothing and clean it? Or something else? I'm interested in people's opinions via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2rgi25S
