Ok to explain the situation my younger brother is a dick head - he hangs around all these feral dog breeders that breed fighting dogs (he's not friends with them but has crossed paths) he feels bad for the dogs ends up hustling them off of these people and then dumps them on me and my mum. (I'm a 21 year old female) all brothers and an overbearing father. We had 7 dogs but have rehomed some - now we have 2 American staffys and 2 pit bulls. My mum is the one that's left with all the pet caring duties and all the housecleaning duties (I don't live at home) all the washing / dishes / shopping etc, she's totally overwhelmed and never takes time to train the dogs so now they are pretty naughty at times - they pretty much get chucked out in the back yard and left to play with themselves (very rough play fighting they all have scars on their necks from each other) the first American staffys we got seperately so he is trained ... they are never taken for walks , my parents just pretty much expect that they'll play with each other and that's all they need . They know nothing about Dogs! Mum watches Cesar Milan sometimes (but never follows through with any of the training) and that's about it ....whenever I say anything about their dogs it's always a huge fight and I am screamed out of the house (it's a very chaotic household too with at least one large verbal fight a day (the dogs get terrified shaking in the corner) my parents absolutely love these dogs they are their babies , they just don't know how to handle and train these aggressive big dogs :( so now to the story... there is one pitbull named skitz , she's 11 months old. Has ZERO training, doesn't even know her name, come, no, sit etc. when she was 4 months old she pinned another full grown dog down and was attacking its neck, she got out of the car at my grandpas and went straight (like launched at it) at a chicken and mauled 2 of them to death before we were able to catch her. The other day I was baby sitting the dogs for my parents (I should have never had them on my own but they force me to look after them) and I had my Maltese shitzhu with me, skitz has known this Maltese shitzhu since birth, skitz annoys my Maltese shitzhu but someone is always their to pick her up and seperate them. Any way the other day in an instant, skitz was annoying the Maltese shitzhu and she growled at skitz. Skitz immediately grabbed the Maltese shitzhu by the neck and was ripping her around like a ragdolll. The other pitbull (he's 50kg big boy) then jumped in and it was a full feeding frenzy.i was the only one home and got involved trying to kick the dogs and save my Maltese shitzhu (my kick and punching did nothing to them) it was a substained attack and she got away several times and they still mauled her. In the end I had to run outside because I just couldn't stop them and the sight of the blood and my puppy everywhere were to much to bear , when I went in later the dogs were standing over her body guarding it and growling at me..... since then they have been back to their normal happy playful selves. But I'm having a fight with my family, I think SKITZ at least should be put down. My parents just don't have the resources or knowledge to keep others people and dogs safe from her , they tell me they're going to make all these changes (I've made a list and been on top of it every day) (so annoying I have to be like this, I'm the daughter but I've always been like a parent, the only responsible one) but yesterday someone told me all the dogs were in the back yard rough play fighting and no one was supervising them. I tell mum, "you're just not going to worry about it until another dog gets killed or worse a child, then you'll be traumatised and a depressed!" And she just says sarcastically "oh YEAAAAH that's totally gonna happen" or it turns into a huge fight and they just say I'm calling them bad dog owners and saying bad things about them. I said 'it's not about us it's about the fucking dogs!' But it always gets turned back against me. PLEASE HELP! I'm all alone with this decision ! And no judgemental comments we already have the dogs no use telling us we shouldn't have got them, and if we hadn't of got them they would be in dog fighting rings right now. We have big cages available for them, we have crates we can get anything we need we just don't know what to do! Please help and all advice is appreciated via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2s1NmXM
