So our 9month old puppy Maggie has been going through a picky eating phase for over a month now. We took her in to see the vet twice and she was cleared of having fever or anything wrong in her mouth. The doc said she seemed just fine in her physical and she agreed that Maggie was just being a picky eater and gave us a bunch of ideas to try to get her to eat. Maggie will happily eat any and every treat sent her away. She also loves bully sticks. She will however not go to her food bowl herself to eat food. Some days she'll eat only one meal, some days she'll eat both meals, and some days she'll barely eat any food. She also occasionally throws up bile in the morning, likely due to her stomach being empty. Her throwing up has been more frequent this past week, as in she's thrown up 3 mornings in a row now. I have a vet's appointment scheduled for 2hrs from now but I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar?Maggie is otherwise an active dog. If I take her to the dog park, she will run and play with other dogs. She LOVES sleeping in the patches of sunlight in our home. She plays fetch and in general, is active. The days she eats well, she is more energetic and the days she doesn't each much, she is more lethargic.ALso in the past week or so, I have noticed that taking her for a walk is becoming a difficult task. She doesn't move. We'll pick her up and put her on the grass and it takes her some time to start moving and even then she doesn't seem very interested in going for her walks. I have to tug on her harness a little, encourage her, praise and we do enough of a walk to get her potty breaks successfully completed. Her stool is normal. She drinks water, but not a lot, could be drinking more but she drinks her water.Another thing, Maggie has gone on many road trips with us in the car and she loves it. She even did great on a 8hr trip to MO. No drooling, no crying. She loves it. This week, every time I've put her in the car to go to the dog park, she has been drooling insanely. Why is this suddenly happening? Is it normal? Is the fact that we're going to the dog park coincidental (unrelated to the drooling) or is that the trigger? The weather has gotten much warmer than the times that went on our trips. Is that it?Maggie is (we think) a Border Terrier, 9 months, and about 13/14lbs. I just want my dog to be happy about eating her food, and excited about going for walks. :(It frustrates me, pains me, breaks my heart and stresses me out. I don't know what we could be doing differently to fix this. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks! via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2rCLXUH
