Background. We got a rescue dog from the local shelter back in January. He's a collie/lab cross about 4 or 5, one previous owner, raised with kids but they had to rehome him due to the patent developing some disease (it's escaping me what kind it was).To start with he was a great dog in the house. He seemed fully house trained, very good with the kids (3 and 8) and didn't seem to be any bother.Recently though he's started trashing the house any time he's left alone. He's peeing everywhere, getting into cupboards and emptying all the contents everywhere (including smashing a bottle of my single malt), he's chewing anything he can get his teeth into - he's just ate the ironing board and the iron - and he seems to be doing it all out of nothing other than maliciousness.3 times alone in the last week he's ruined the place and I'm at my wits end with him and seriously thinking of getting rid of him altogether.Would anyone be able to shed any light on what's happened, what's changed with him or why he's all of a sudden started doing these things?
