I was out on a regular late afternoon walk through my school's campus and out of nowhere a husky jumped out of some bushes and attacked my puppy. At the moment I tried to pick up my puppy but it was too late. The owners were sitting by a table by the bushes and after they heard my puppy yelp they ran to secure their dog. They reprimanded their dog and were very apologetic to me. I checked my dog for any serious damage like bites or signs of pain and went on my way home. I'm a first-time dog owner and suffer from severe anxiety, so confronting people is very hard for me.I got home and noticed these abrasions and scratches on my puppy's belly. I washed it with warm salt water and no blood came off. It seems the redness is mostly abrasion.I came here to ask what I should do next. Do I take him to the vet to check these abrasions? He still has not had his rabies shot (he's scheduled for it this week). I really wish I had gotten the contact information from the people with the husky, but I'm sure I'll stumble upon them again on campus.Picture of abrasions: http://ift.tt/2rxxglH http://ift.tt/2qOECEi via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2qOGaxT
