My 1 year old German Shepherd recently had a very bad skin reaction to something when a friend from out of state visited. I took her to the vet and had her checked up. She got her blood work done and turns out she got quite a few allergies. I knew she had at least one since she seems overly itchy sometimes. Almost all of them are environmental like oak trees, dust mites and certain types of grass. The vet is making her a specific medication to target all her main allergies. I'm just wondering if putting her on long term meds like this could have negative effects on her when she gets older. I'm want her overall life quality to be as good as possible, so I want her to take the shots and feel better, I just don't wanna do something to her what could cause her eventually harm. via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2rzr7rj
