I'm watching my friend's Dachshunds and most of the week the boy's been pretty chill. He has yelped two or three times, mainly when I'd unintentionally sneak up on him or try to pick him up to go inside.Today though he yelped at me and seemed to struggle with the 1 stair to get inside. I tried patting him down and he yelped when I got near his leg. I watched him walk and it looked like he was putting normal/full weight on it. He walked into his cage and just stared at me while I tried to coax him out for pets. He was pretty warmed up to me even yesterday.They've both been pretty independent of me but I hadn't noticed this sort of behavior and am kind of worried- should I be? I figured maybe the breed just acts this way, or he just wanted his family back- I don't know, so I'm asking. What do you think? I'm not familiar with this breed at all and would hate to think something happened to him on my watch.Thanks in advance. via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2rN3rjM
