So I have a ~2 year old cane corso-great dane mix dog. Hes really sweet and gentle, overall a great dog. Over the past.... month or so however, he hasnt really wanted to hangout around me. He used to sit in the living room with me on the couch next to me or on the floor in the same room. He's never been much of a snuggler so to say, but anymore, he just goes back to my bedroom and 80% of the time he just hangs out in his crate, other 20% is on my bed. I tried closing the bedroom door to see what would happen and he just went into the bathroom and laid on the floor. Now, he gets plenty of exercise and socialization. He goes for car rides with me, goes to friends houses with other dogs at least once a weekend to hangout and play. One thing I've noticed is that when he has a particularly rowdy or long play session, he is EXHAUSTED the next one day at least, often two days. And being pretty big (106lbs with long legs and pigeon toed from bad breeding according to the vet), he gets pretty sore in his joints. He cannot sit down on command because it bothers him too much and cant jump up onto my bed. This past Saturday we spent all day outside at a cookout and he played with his dog friends pretty hard. He was sore and tired and all that jazz. I guess what I'm getting at is: does my dog not like me? Has anyone ever experienced this? Am I doing something wrong? Our standard day to day during the week isnt exactly thrilling, but that doesnt seem too different from what other dogs experience. Any discussion on this matter would be appreciated. via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2qMqoit
