Introduction1) Will this be your first dog? If not, what experience do you have owning/training dogs? No, I have never formerly trained a dog but I grew up around 2 dachshunds that were raised from pups with my help.2) Do you have a preference for rescuing a dog vs. going through a reputable breeder? Not really, there are certain breeds that I want and certain breeds I do not want, but I am okay with either adoption or breeder.3) Describe your ideal dog.I am about to move to my first solo living situation (most likely a town home). I am a rather laid back person, and would like a dog that is not too high energy. Would love one that likes to play when its play time, but otherwise likes to chill and hang with me. I was thinking an older dog for that reason (along with others in care commitment)4) What breeds or types of dogs are you interested in and why?So far my interests are German Shepard, Dachshund, Doberman, and a few others. These are the dogs I really love the looks of, but I know some probably won't be compatible with my living situation / life style.5) What sorts of things would you like to train your dog to do?I would like just basic training, maybe even basic commands but nothing too intense.Care Commitments6) How long do you want to devote to training, playing with, or otherwise interacting with your dog each day?1-2 hours a day.
