Our 1 year old german shepherd rottweiler mix was recently rescued and never properly trained, so she is very mouthy. When I first get home it is the worst. We command her to sit, but she will immediately try to play bite any hand I use to pet her. If I ignore her because she is biting she will practically climb up my back. I know she wants to play, but ignoring her initially when I first walk in does not work because she jumps all over my back. She'll jump at my front but a knee to her chest does not phase her. A squirt bottle when she jumps is just a game to try and drink the water. Treats that she normally responds to do not work when I first get home.She has chew toys she chews a lot, she has another dog to play with, and we take her to the dog park.
