[Help] Am I being haunted by a hell hound? Is this even a dog?

Almost every night this thing comes to my yard around 2am. I know it's there because it makes a high pitched barking noise, it almost sounds like a duck. I can almost never see it but yesterday I did slightly. It was dark but it looked like a small dog with bright red eyes. I try to get my dogs to chase after it when I hear it but by the time I wake them up and get them outside it stops. It only barks for a minute or 2 but its very loud and distinctive.
