We just adopted a dog (1.5 years/terrier mix) who is an amazing sweetheart but he has kennel cough. We're perfectly happy taking care of him but he has so much energy. Every time he gets whipped up he starts hacking. He's on his third day of medicine so he still has a while to go. We found he does great in the crate. We feel bad leaving him in there too long but any time he's out he wants to play and then gets overly excited and starts coughing.How can we keep him out of the crate and calm?
