[Vent] Ruff Day

Bless her pea picking cute little heart, my older girl gets mad when my fiancé leaves. He has to travel for work and I always take him to the airport so she thinks I spirit him away for huge stretches of time and her manners go a little bad. Ever since the girls were puppies we have trained them to stay in our yard, no fence but it's a crappy little road no one travels on so very safe, low risk. They're always supervised and only go out to potty in the front. We can't fence it or put an electric fence in. It's always worked, until now. Today our neighbors were out walking their small dog and kid and Bailey took off out of the yard and terrified the little girl. She wouldn't bite but the kid doesn't know that, and I know how that feels. I felt like utter crap and wrangled her inside.Obviously I have a problem on my hands so I went to petsmart to buy a tie out so she can't get out of the yard when she's going potty. Fine. $20 is nothing for safety. But I get to the checkout line and I'm still irritated so I'm doing my best resting bitch face. And the lady coos and goes "what kind of dog go you have?" And I tell her Baileys a goldendoodle. And she flips her shit. "WHY ARE YOU TYING UP SUCH A SWEET BABY?!?!" First of all chill lady it's just to pee. And I tell her about the little girl.
