[Help] My Rough Collie (10 months old) has eye discharge and infections all the time...

Hello,I don't know what to do anymore... My Rough Collie has pus coming out of his eyes since he was 3 months old.The color is green or yellow, which means it is caused by bacteria. The vet says he has follicular conjunctivitis and most of the time it will stop when he is adult with 1 1/2 years and till then there is no other option than giving him antibiotic eye ointment...Now, he is getting this oinment since September 2016, for two weeks every time. Sometimes the eyes stay good for one week, two weeks, maybe 3 weeks and then the discharge comes back.On March 18 I gave him a new ointment with a different antibiotic and it really helped, he was good for 2 1/2 months and I hoped the whole thing was gone. Nope. After that period the pus came back and now I gave him the ointment AGAIN for 2 weeks and the second day after I stopped treating his eye he has dried yellow pus and some fresh in the other eye...I really don't know what to do. My vet says there is no other option because follicular conjunctivitis isn't treated anymore before he is adult and I should be patient.I'm just afraid that I harm his eyes, that the oinment is bad for him. I don't question my vet. She is already in contact with a human eye doctor and another vet who is specialized in pet eyes. She examined the eye, his tear flow is normal...Maybe he is just allergic but it is too early to make a test she says. The bacteria even was analized by a lab and it is just normal bacteria, nothing special...Has anyone experienced something similar? via /r/dogs http://ift.tt/2rxEA0D
